Gulf Shores Golf
Bordered by the Gulf of Mexico and Mobile Bay, Kiva Dunes affords
the very best in spectacular scenery, flourishing wildlife, lush fairways
and private beaches. The golf course star of Gulf Shores is a nationally acclaimed, 18 hole championship
golf course designed by former United State Open Champion Jerry Pate. Kiva Dunes offers spectacular beauty as the course
meanders through pristine sand dunes, lakes and
natural wildlife areas and is a "must play." When
the winds pick up, all but the longest
hitters should stay away from the tips.
Alabama native son Earl Stone has developed three outstanding layouts - Peninsula, Rock Creek, and
Timber Creek. The 27-hole layout at Peninsula may be the most unique. Situated on 820 secluded acres touched on two sides
by the Bon Secour Wildlife Preserve, the Peninsula
represents one of the region's most spectacular venues
for Alabama golf. This masterful course winds through
live oaks, cypress and natural vegetation, featuring
more than 30 lakes and some of the area's largest
white-sand bunkers and waste areas. Kiva Dunes was constructed entirely on sand dunes on a thin
strip of land separating Mobile Bay and the Gulf. It is likely one of the best conditioned courses you'll ever play.
The surprise at Rock Creek is the stunning topography,
with some of Baldwin County's highest elevations
overlooking freshwater wetlands and the Rock Creek
basin. The tall pines and hardwoods that line nearly
every fairway only enhance the visual effect.
Timber Creek offers players of all abilities a fabulous golf
experience. Scenic views of
spacious, rolling fairways carved from a forest of
dogwoods, magnolias and pines await golfers. Elevation changes,
wetland preserves, and bountiful wildlife accentuate the
flowing terrain. With a 73.8
rating and a 144 slope, Timber Creek may be the best test of one's abilities
on the Alabama coast.
Cotton Creek offers a unique setting combining the
mystique of golf legend Arnold Palmer with Southern
hospitality and charm.
Featuring rolling fairways and large undulating greens,
Cotton Creek is very playable from the forward tees
and a true championship challenge of over 7,000 yards
from the tips.
True to its Palmer design, this traditional 18-hole
masterpiece was layed-out to challenge rather than
intimidate, with numerous risk/reward opportunities
throughout.
The Larry Nelson designed Woodlands at Craft Farms
is a neatly manicured, 18 hole signature course that
has quickly become a Gulf Coast favorite due to its
playability, beautiful scenery and a reputation for
excellent customer service.
Reminiscent of a coastal Carolina layout, the
Woodlands features lakes, marshes, tree-lined fairways
in addition to abundant wildlife.
